Behind, centre, educator Lisa Corrigan - and growing sense of awe as each woman in the room provided a few seconds on her role and her passion in life. |
What can we say? Another glorious gathering of the most magic, awesome, down to earth, generous, inspiring women. Above left, Tania Budd and a Three Bowls delight. Right, fairy story and art therapist Pam Blamey with UNHCR's Lucy Strickland. We were delighted to have Lucy join us for an evening and share challenges and the 'extraordinary ordinary' courage she witnesses in some of the hardest living conditions in existence: refugee camps of displaced persons. Above, artist and woman of many talents Denise Bolland, laughter yoga teacher Sheryle Brown and artist and SoulCollage creator Jo Knights. Above left, Jo Knights' gift to the gathering - a box of courage quotes and reflections to encourage conversation - not that there was any lack of interaction noticed anywhere! And above right, Jo and Ginene Dandelion Humphrey check out the quotes. L-R, top, Elina Juusola-Halonen, Bernadette Pease, Sheryle Brown; L-R, bottom, Wendy Shepherd, Kathy Hedemann, Rae Goes. It looks like you had tons of fun! I like the part where each woman was given a time to speak up about their thoughts. Sharing is something that I always encourage among my friends and family. It is important to know when is the time to share and when is the to listen. To know that there are people interested to hear your stories is one of the best feelings ever. There should be a balance between sharing and listening because both are vital to be able to build great and strong relationships with people.
